Join us for the annual Check City Shade Tree Fundraiser to help women and children by donating!
Every year Check City puts on a fundraiser for the Shade Tree Organization in Nevada. The Shade Tree is a nonprofit organization that operates a shelter for women, children, and their pets. The Shade Tree serves to help and protect women and children who are homeless, abused, or in crisis.
The Shade Tree’s mission statement reads:
“To provide safe shelter to abused and homeless women and women with children in crisis; as well as, offer life-changing services promoting stability, dignity, and self-reliance.”

2021 Shade Tree fundraiser
This year the Annual Shade Tree Fundraiser was able to raise an estimated $50,000 in donations! These donations all came from our wonderful Check City customers, the general public, and a donation match from Check City.
Each customer who donated wrote their name on a heart that the Check City employees proudly displayed in their stores. A check of $50,000 was given to The Shade Tree on behalf of all the Check City customers and residents in Nevada who donated.
2019 Shade Tree Fundraiser
This year Check City is matching dollar for dollar up to $25,000 in donations to the Shade Tree women’s shelter.
2011 Shade Tree Fundraiser
This year Check City will match all donations, dollar for dollar up to $20,000 to the Shade Tree women’s shelter. When you donate, you can also enter to win a trip to New York City! If you would like to donate, please visit one of our many Check City locations in Nevada.
2013 Shade Tree Fundraiser
Help your donations to the Shade Tree women and children’s shelter go even further by donating alongside Check City. This year Check City will match all donations, dollar for dollar up to $20,000 to the Shade Tree women’s shelter. When you donate, you can also enter to win a trip to New York City!
