Economists are saying that in the next few months the United States economy will be supported less by the government’s efforts and will depend more on business investment and exports for growth. They estimate the economy will grow by about 2.75 percent annual rate throughout the next six months. This hopeful rate is somewhat diminished from their previous estimate of 2.9 percent with a 5.9 percent spike during the fourth quarter. For the first time in many months, three American families were able to hear from their loved ones who are being detained for trespass in Iran. The phone calls were very reassuring for both the families and those in Iran.
