For the first time in many months, three American families were able to hear from their loved ones who are being detained for trespass in Iran. The phone calls were very reassuring for both the families and those in Iran. Shane Bauer, Sarah Shourd, and Josh Fattal were all hiking in northern Iraq last July when they accidentally crossed over into Iran. Iran is holding them under accusations that they are spies.
