Carry-On Baggage is No Longer Safe from Fees

Spirit Air announced Tuesday, April 6, 2010 that it would be the first airline to charge of carry-on baggage.  Spirit Airlines is a little known U.S. carrier, and will be the first to start charging for carry-on luggage, that is usually stored inside the planes overhead bins.  Right now, the airline has projected charge dates starting in August of 2010 but news is still coming forward about the proposed charge.
