Haitian Debts Forgiven by Inter-American Development Bank

The Inter-American Development Bank agreed to forgive millions of dollars in debt owed by Haiti due to the recent earthquake devastation. The debts forgiven add up to about $479 million dollars and after a vote, the board of directors decided to forgive the debt and in addition have pledged their future support in the quantity of 2 billion dollars over the next ten years.  They also hope to help rebuild the country with the hope and courage they need to continue over the next few years.
