Joining a New Gym Wisely

As the Olympics are wrapping up, you may have been inspired to get off of your couch and join a gym.  When you head out to join your gym, make sure that you do some research ahead of time. Gyms can be expensive and if you do not know what you are signing up for, you could be signing yourself into a contract that you are very unhappy with in a few months.

First, you will want to make sure that you know you are going to be able to afford the membership.  There are some gyms that will charge you a single up front charge while other gyms will charge you on a month-to-month basis.  You want to make sure that you know what the fee is going to be and have a way set out that you can pay it.

Second, if you have to sign a contract you may want to take the contract home and read through the whole contract before you agree to sign it.  Signing a contract without doing the proper research can be extremely detrimental to your financial situation and you may run into big problems in the future.

Third, you will want to make sure that you understand how you are going to cancel your contract, should you need to.  Make sure that this process is laid out from the very beginning so you understand exactly what you are signing up for.

You will also want to know what happens if you do not make a payment on time.  Sometimes, you may find that your bill is sent directly to collections.  When this happens, your credit score can be affected and this may cause problems in the future.  Rather than not paying your bill on time, stop by a Check City to take out a payday loan as soon as you know that you are not going to be able to make your payment.  Then, when you get paid, you can stop by and pay off your loan!
