5. Tutor – The average number of hours that at tutor works a week is 8. The wage range for tutors is often $12.70 to $27 an hour. As a tutor, you will serve as a personalized teacher for students that are having trouble with a specific subject or with students that are preparing for a test or other academic work that is very difficult. Being a tutor requires patience and the ability to listen and explain the content. Tutors need to be organized and be able to pay attention to detail with those that they are tutoring. To be a tutor it is often required that the tutor have an adequate amount of knowledge about the subject. There are also certain organizations that certify tutors.
4. Dance Teacher – Dance teachers teach an average of 8 hours of dance lessons and get paid anywhere from $15.30 to $24.50 an hour. When teaching dance, teachers are often required to work with some students one-on-one to help them master a specific style of dance. Teachers are often also expected to work with a large group of children. The experience and training required differs greatly between studios, but part-time teachers are usually required to have at least two years of teaching experience.
