So, by the end of the month, you are finding yourself feeling like you are financially suffocating...and the idea of "saving" any money seems like a not-so-funny joke to you! Sound familiar? Well, believe it or not, we are here to tell you that even YOU can begin saving money; no, we're not talking about a coupon off your peanut butter from the grocery store. We are talking about real savings; as in putting money into an account that is STRICTLY for financial emergencies or a long-need and well planned out rainy day (not a last minute decided shopping splurge).

Nearly anyone can and should start saving money...seriously start saving money. The keys are to first create a well thought out Budget and stick to it, and then to also Live within your means.

Once you have mastered these two, you are going to have much more money than you currently think possible to be able to Start Saving:

  • Make Goals: Before you really start saving money, you should first create some reasonable goals that will truly motivate yourself to work towards. Think about things that are important to you and your family; perhaps it is a dream vacation that you all long for together. Maybe you want a security cushion for the unknown road ahead.
  • Make a Timeline: Figure out the time of which you want to reach your goal. Lets say that you decide you want to take that dream vacation in two years; this will help you to better stick to your saving plan since there is a timeline. If one of your goals is to save for the future, create check-point times, such as let's say that every three years, you want to have an additional $3,000 in the savings, for example.
  • Stick to it: As with all goals that we make in life, it doesn't work if we don't work at it. Take you goals seriously and stick to the plan. Should you "fall down" into a tough time and need to use a little of your reserve for an emergency situation, pick yourself right back up again afterwards and arrange your goals to keep moving forward.

Americans are a little silly in the sense that we probably spend more money than any other country on "stuff" that we simply want and really don't need, and yet at the same time, Americans are always looking for more ways to save money...a little ironic; wouldn't you think? Nevertheless, it is your money, and we don't blame you for wanting to save as much of it as possible...even if it is for the purpose of going out and spending it!

money order is a way for people who do not have checks, or just don't want to use them, to pay for things.  It is paid for in advance and works somewhat like a check since the person can send it to pay for something just like you would with a check.

Most businesses these days will accept a money order with wide-open arms.  Since they are pre-paid, the risk is extremely lower than with any check, which could bounce.  They are also very safe and secure.  Best of all Check City has been offering money orders for many years!

Money orders were originally issued by the U.S. Postal Service for a slightly expensive fee.  Today, Check City offers money orders through Western Union with absolutely no charge!  Western Union is one of the biggest names in the industry and Check City is proud to be attatched to that name.

The convenience and comfort of knowing you can pay for something without a check and still have your money be safe is well worth the short trip down the road to your nearest Check City store.
